Sorry Tommy, I can't find anything on SES on that link you published before.

It's probably just me, but could you point me in the right direction?

Many Thanks

Tommy - many thanks for taking the time to reply.

I have to admit that I find the site a little difficult to navigate, and so apologise that my question had so obviously been answered in previous posts.

I agree that SES are becoming notorious, however I also speak to people who work in the industry and from what they tell me they are doing very well. I struggle to make sense of the 'phenomenon' they are becoming when I can find no reviews from satisfied customers online. But I suppose the very people they are targeting aren't daily web surfers!

I can assure you that I have no association what so ever with any energy company and my offer of confirmation still stands.

I continue to watch with interest.

Your question is a big funny, to be honest. But your tone is more subtle than some people who are obviously trying to protect SES. And clearly there is only one reason for that - they are SES people or Stephen Rievaulx Wilson himself.

Just in case you are genuine, I would like to give you a reply.

If you read the posts on this site from an early stage, you will see my comments. I have given many details of my installation. So it will be unfair for anyone to say "There isn’t one complaint on here from a single genuine customer". I am a customer. Margaret is a customer. And some other people who struggled to get back their deposit were customers too.

To save your time in browsing through the details again. Let me tell you what Solar Energy Savings (in Manchester) typically do:

a) Quote a sky high price and then pretend to give good discount if you agree to do testimonals for them.
b) After the so-called discount, their price is still more than double of the market value.
c) They promise certain good make panels and then install something else.
d) They promise a good independent guarantee and either completely fail to provide it or give something different (cheaper) with a shorter period.
e) They told you the system will produce so much electricity and actually the amount produced is less than 40% of what they say.
f) I have not investigated in this (yet) but the 360 scheme is probably their new scam.

If you are from SES, then I can tell you that trying to defend your position on this site is not clever at all because SES is notorious now. The more they want to defend, the more people will come here to prove that SES will con customers in various approaches (professionally!)

In fact, their bad name is not only on this site. They are also "famous" on this site http://www.ripofftipoff.net/notify.htm, as well as Which magazine and many other places. And they totally deserve it.

If you are genuine, this reply will be sufficient for you. If you continue to challenge, then it seems that only one possibility will be left...

Hi Catherine and Raymond Renfrey

Can I make a small correction if you don't mind. On Companies House website, you do not have to pay to simply look at some basic records of a company. When I looked at Solar Energy Savings, I saw the name of the director and ex-exdirectors (as well as how many companies those people have winded up!) When I wanted to see a bit more details such as the shareholders, I only paid one pound. And I found that there is only ONE shareholder, who is Stephen Rievaulx Wilson - i.e. the director. It seems that this is a "one man bank". One person plans all big lies and cheating tactics although there could be some "backing people" in their scams.

For both companies check REAL and MCS. If they are not registered with both keep well away. Also you can go to Companies House to check them but you have to pay to look at a company's records.

Hi,
I'm still intrigued about the legitimacy of SES. They claim to be big (if not the biggest) company in solar energy. Their web site lists many branches and displays a web page for each. Strangely all the pages point back to the one address in Manchester. I tried to find addresses for any branches not in Manchester, but completely failed. I strongly suspect that there is only one branch. Any one dealt through a branch outside Manchester? Their office in Manchester does exist, but that is all it is a rented office in an office building.

Hi Eleanor

What are your doubts, if you have any doubts?

Are you after buying or having the free option?

Good Luck

Guys,

A word of warning. I used to install solar systems for PV Solar Solutions ltd (Cardiff) and Solar PV UK Ltd.

Both companies utilise unqualified incompetent installers and offer no training. I have witnessed shocking standards and experienced what I would class as a massive misselling opportunity for ex window salesmen.

Before you sign any agreement, demand you see the installers qualifications. Not the qualifications of the person who is fitting Mrs Jones down the road, but the installer who is visiting your property. This is afterall, an investment. And also a mini power station. Its really eaten me to see so many people being ripped off and have witnessed not just poor installations not working, but badly designed or not designed at all systems with all kinds off issues. These systems will not deliver to their potential.

These systems have been down right dangerous and in one case delivered me a massive electric shock which could easily have been anyone else.

Sorry for the doom and gloom but just need people to be aware.

CHECK: Certificates of Qualification
CHECK: Experience
DONT: Ever assume anything
DO: Protect yourself your family and investment
